Plan a Hometown Vacation.

Some may opt to sightsee in their own city. Doing pre-travel shopping at home will save you big $ ( particularly on film and batteries. Make a general itinerary before you travel. This may help you ensure you have permitted sufficient time to get to your destination, and whether or not you've booked too many activities for one day. Keep it on the computer so you do not have to scribble it over each time you leave home.

to go or not to travel?

For many romantic travelers, that is the question.

the choice of whether to go or not during these uneasy times is an individual one, a choice only the 2 of you can make.

Lease an RV for a weekend rendezvous where the bed is rarely more than some steps away. At every junction, flip a coin to chart your course.

Act like travellers in your own hometown -- down to the cameras and garments.

Plan a short trip inside a few hours of your hometown. How many sites have you missed that you would have visited if you used to be a vacationer in your hometown? Take a fast inventory of its contents before you leave homeyou might have run out of toothpaste on your last trip. Five gallon bags ( found in several shops ) that are giant enough to organize garments and later can be used to keep washing or wet thongs away from the remainder of your stuff. Also, when packing--think about your holiday activities. Will they include hiking? Days at the beach? Having dinner with relatives? Think ahead and pack items you could need for those activities like band-aids for hiking, aloe vera for sunburns, and the headscarf Aunt Shirley gave you for your birthday if you will be seeing her.
